Apply

1. Initial enquiry

Depending on the case either we will be contacted by social services, a private individual / family, or someone looking for care. If you are considering placing a loved one into care please read our advice for caregivers.

2. Assessment

The next step is for our trained staff to assess whether you would be suitable to be a resident at our home. This usually involves meeting the client for a few hours for an informal chat. There will usually be 2 of us meeting you so we can get 2 opinions on your suitability. The assessment usually includes questions about:

Your personal details such as name, address, date of birth, next of kin, religion, marital status.

Your health including physical condition, mobility, dexterity, diet, skin and how many carers you would need throughout the day.

Your medical history including allergies, medication, illnesses, doctors details.

Your sleep patterns.

Your background and how you like to be treated and what you are expecting at the home.

3. Invitation to the home

Once you been assessed as suitable to join the home we offer you an invitation to visit. You can either come alone or with a family member and spend the day with us.

4. Arrange the fees

Once payment has been arranged you can move in as soon as the next day.
